UCLA Library introduces page and pickup service
During the remote learning period, UCLA Library offered a Page and Pickup service to ensure students and researchers got the materials they needed.
Update: As UCLA has returned to in-person learning, UCLA Library has deactivated most temporary remote services — including ETAS, PETDOR, and Page and Pickup — and seat reservations for study spaces will no longer be required.
UCLA Library is pleased to offer a new Page and Pickup service for circulating materials from our general stacks, available to students and faculty. These include items from the Arts, Biomedical, Geology, Management, Music, Powell, and Science and Engineering libraries as well as the Charles E. Young Research Library and general circulating material from the Southern Regional Library Facility and the Hugh and Hazel Darling Law Library. Library Special Collections, materials available online via the HathiTrust(opens in a new tab), and audiovisual materials are excluded from the service at this time.
To page and pickup materials:
Please note: recalling books from another library patron is not enabled at this time. If you need a book that is currently checked out, please use the Interlibrary Loan service. Also, items which normally circulate for two weeks or less are not eligible for Page and Pickup. If you wish to request these items, please use the PETDOR+ process to register and request digital versions of qualifying short-term loan items.
When picking up materials, please prioritize the safety of our Library staff and fellow patrons by adhering to all campus COVID-19 safety regulations. These guidelines include wearing face coverings at all times (covering the mouth and nose) and physical distancing requirements of six feet between patrons and staff.
While our library buildings remain physically closed due to Los Angeles County Department of Public Health guidelines, we will continue to innovate services to keep you connected to UCLA Library. For questions about the Page and Pickup service or to resolve general issues such as bills, questions of eligibility, etc., please email yrl-circ@library.ucla.edu(opens in a new tab).
