Biography

Stephen is the supervisor of the Development Support team, ensuring the Library's software developers have the infrastructure, tools, workflows, and procedures to test and deploy their applications. He is a Certified Kubernetes Administrator(opens in a new tab) and an advocate for establishing a DevOps culture where developer and operations teams work collaboratively. He joined the Library in 2013 after seven years as a Systems Engineer at a cable television software company, where he honed his Linux, system administration, product support, and people management skills. Stephen is a life-long learner and participates in many of UCLA's training and development programs, including: the UCLA Professional Development Program (PDP)(opens in a new tab), Management Development Certificate(opens in a new tab), Management Skills Assessment Program (MSAP), and the UCLA Extension Technical Management Program (TMP)(opens in a new tab). He organized a Crucial Conversations(opens in a new tab) training program and earned the corresponding certificate. Stephen is an avid runner and has his Private Pilot License and Ground Instructor Certificate.
