Stephen O. Lesser Endowment for Asian-Judaic Collections

This is Mr. Lesser's second endowment for the UCLA Library. From his travels and postings with the U.S. Foreign Service, Mr. Lesser developed a passion and deep respect for the cultures of East Asia. Mr. Lesser has also studied the history and influence of Jewish communities and Jewish culture in Asia. The Stephen O. Lesser Endowment for Asian-Judaic Collections reflects both these interests and will be used to support the acquisition, processing and preservation of Asian-Judaic collections within the UCLA Library. This fund may also be used to support activities related to the Asian-Judaic collection, including, but not limited to: travel, lectures and exhibitions.
