Construction Update

Since the Arts Library in the Luskin School of Public Affairs building reopened to patrons on January 9, 2023, most page and pickup services have been discontinued. This is with the exception of materials listed as "(Request Only) Arts Storage" in UC Library Search. Please contact us at AskUs@library.ucla.edu(opens in a new tab) with questions.

How to Request Materials

  1. Find the item from UC Library Search(opens in a new tab). Then, log in to "My Library Account," and select "Request."
    1. Current UCLA students, faculty and staff may log in to their Library account by clicking on 'UCLA Users' and entering their SSO UCLA logon and password. All other users should select 'Community Users.' If it is your first time logging in as a Community User, enter your library card number for the username and password. You will then be prompted to reset the password. Community users must obtain an access or fee card from another UCLA Library location before requesting a page and pickup from Arts Storage.
  2. Available options will display for books with the location “(Request Only) Arts Storage.”
  3. Once you log in to your account, you'll see the request options for the item under “How to get it.” Patrons can then request for materials to be sent to the Charles E. Young Research Library for pickup.
  4. Paged Arts Library materials are picked up for delivery on weekdays. Most materials will be available for pickup at the Research Library within approximately business days. Patrons will receive a notification when their item is ready.
